Slight point of clarification: Chick-fil-a owns their restaurants and has operators run them.

We have two McDonald's about the same distance. That isn't confusing at all.

We also have McDonaldses in every other area of town where we don’t have a Chik-fil-a. Do they really think that all of the people in town who go to Chik-fil-a live on Wards?

McDonald's goes in neighborhoods.

Chick-fil-a goes in traffic areas.

Lots of traffic on Timberlake

It was in the N&A that CFA was planning to open a location on Timberlake. The economy or other issues may have delayed or cancelled those plans.

Neither one of those is where CFA is/was slated to go. The address is 7916 Timberlake Road. It would be directly across from Wendys, which is still vacant. Further down the hill is the rest of the development, which is nearing completion.

If there is one thing I've learned, one can not have goo many available car washes!

According to the good folks on 1or both of the Living In Lynchburg fakebook pages, the Christian Chicken that was to go in or around the Timberlake Sheetz fell through due to the property owner wanting to lease the land and not sell the land to Christian Chicken. Another purported rumor was issues with the City's Permitting and/or Development Offices. Although the land dispute is the prevailing thought. Supposedly, the new target is the old Bank of America property on Timberlake in Campbell County across from Big Lots. I hope this is true as the County could use the tax revenue.

That Bank of America is literally on my street. This could be bad for me.

I live in Wydhurst. I would be thrilled with a Cook-Out closer to home. Best ice in town. And the burgers aren't bad.

Have we heard any more on this? That location would be ideal. Or one on lakeside/forest rd. Just another one that gives some breathing room to the wards trio.

Still coming. Very likely another high profile chain as well next to it.
