In the Hobby Lobby parking lot. Is this evangelical version of Googling Google, thus making the world explode? Wonder if corporate is just trying to go for the record of most CFA's within a 2 mile radius (I think this would be 4 right?) Not saying it's not warranted, especially after any visit to the main one on wards. So after the (rumored) addition of the one on Timberlake and 221, we'll have 6 I believe.

I'm all in for that, Ballcoach!

That's what I understand too. Also, one day last week while leaving work, the drive thru's message board said "Here we grow again! Timberlake 2020". The next day it just said "Here we grow again".

The other CFA has been doing paperwork on a new site on 221 by Aldi. I'm surprised that some of the heavier traveled corridors have so few options, but that may be changing, especially in regards to the US 501/221 intersection.

Anyone know of the status of CFA in any other locations in Lynchburg? I always find it amusing that technically we only have one sit down CFA in the entire city. I live off Old Graves Mill Road so I was hoping to see one pop up next to sheetz on Timberlake, but sadly it looks like that didn't happen and instead we get the second place prize of...another car wash??

The gas station next to Brookville is demolished...can't imagine it going in there though. Although if how the new Starbucks was approved in their janky, tight location next to Lowes, I'm sure the city planners just take the philosophy of jamming a square peg into a round hole and calling it good. I seriously don't understand the market research down in CFA HQ that looks at Lynchburg and says "nah... we have enough."

What is the obsession with these car washes anyway? There’s already one just down the street on Timberlake, next to the Social Security office.

If anyone has tried to get Chick-Fil-A from Wards road recently, you know that it’s a 20-minute ordeal. The other strange quirk is that the 3 local restaurants are all within two miles of each other. A Chick-Fil-A across town anywhere in Lynchburg would absolutely clean up.

No, I don't know, but I can't imagine that is the case. I wonder if the pandemic has caused delays in their plans.

I know that the drive-thru CFA was supposed to move to the Hobby Lobby parking lot but that has at least been delayed by Covid, if not cancelled altogether.

They are good investments that produce solid equity and cash returns.
Did you not watch breaking bad?

I'll take no offense by your suggestion that Lynchburg has a poor planning philosophy, and since both of the projects you speak of are actually in Campbell County, I'll just assume you didn't aren't from around here.

alabama24 wrote: April 16th, 2021, 8:51 pm Perhaps we should assume Rogers isn’t from Lynchburg. In his defense, many long timers remember when that wasn’t in Lynchburg and “Brookville” was down the road a couple miles.
Well, I might know more about that than most folks have a right to know... Plus, you can always look at Google...
The 7-11 property is the border of the city as is the Lowe's parking lot right along the back of Starbucks parking lot.
stokesjokes wrote: April 16th, 2021, 8:45 pm Looking at the map, they’re both in Lynchburg proper. The Campbell line is Laxton road, both of those locations are north of that line.
The city GIS is your friend!

I apologize if I offended. I don't know who you are or what you do. Yes correct, I'm just speaking generically of Lynchburg. It just seems (and I'm sure I'm missing something) as opposed to other areas such as Roanoke, things are more tight, despite Lynchburg city being 7 square miles bigger than Roanoke. I'm sure there's other factors I'm missing. More of the atypical city resident grumbling without proper perspective :D

Being that it'll be a sit down, thus serving more people, I imagine it's gotta have a good impact on making the "other" wards location less congested? Although I just realized now we will have 2 Wards Rd CFA's. That's not confusing.
