Anyone insider know when convo speakers will be announced for upcoming semester ?

They changed their ways last year and only announce speakers ten days out. Usually on Mondays they announce the following weeks speakers.

Trump, Trump, Trump, and some Republican politician to be named later.

I’m willing to bet at least half of it will be Fox News personalities. They love their Fox News.

Nasser actually tweeted earlier to Candance Owens, before he deleted it, about coming to convo. Mass students tweeted to him about not wanting her to come so we shall see about it happening.

Why not? I say invite a gambit of different people. Will they come? Probably not. But the ones who do will be interesting

Everyone should be invited to share their view, even if it is not aligned with Liberty's views. I know that Liberty doesn't want some people as speakers, but at least they make sure that whoever comes receives hospitality. They may be mostly the typical ultra conservative speakers, but thank goodness that we do not allow the mayhem that occurs in the prestigious colleges around the U.S. who are ultra socialists/Marxists ( or what they call themselves, liberals).

The suggestion of inviting Alexandria was tongue in cheek on my part, although i agree with Purple we should continue to invite speakers with differing viewpoints. In this case, her track record indicates she would probably reject the offer with prejudice and accuse Liberty of having unsavory motives for the invitation like she did with Ben Shapiro. in the unlikely event she were to accept, I can see it going badly. Our students were very polite to Bernie, at least partly in deference to his age. I´m not 100% sure that would be the case here, and as awful as she is at dealing with differing viewpoints, I could see us getting accused of ¨piling on¨if she was asked to defend her views and embarassed herself (again).

Only Democrat I can think of quickly that would be a good Convo speaker is Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. She's one of a very few Democrats with any common sense.

You're essentially right. Sean Spicer was announced, as was David Platt and Bob Goff. There are a few more run of the mill Trump supporters coming as well. On the plus side, Monday convos are now optional and will be held at the School of Music, so we're down to 2 full, mandatory convos per week.

Bob Goff is so great.

Why not invite the ones without common sense, so that the students can identify those that lack common sense even after they are gone?
