Does anyone know where best place to park and get on the bicycle trail along the river ? I think it's called the Blackwater Trail or something like that.

Ballcoach, if you ever want to go, I can take you. Lots of parking lots to put in at, some downtown, others off of Rivermont, and another off of Langhorne Road. The downtown parking lot is really close to Waterstone Pizza.

Parking Lots
Ed Page – 1720 Langhorne Road
East Randolph Place – 340 East Randolph Place
Downtown Lynchburg – Jefferson St. and 8th St.

thanks for the info. I am not familiar with that part of the city . I get mis-oriented every time I go over that way. Heck, I had trouble finding the hospital last year. I got lucky and saw an ambulance and followed it.

Ok. I will go in near future. I get bored riding around Gretna.

I need to train to where I can ride the trail from Richmond to Jamestown, along Route 5.

Ballcoach, I think the whole Blackwater Creek Trail (round trip) is like 14 miles, which makes for a nice ride, if it's not too hot.

From 29 North, just take the 2nd Main Street exit and turn right at the Robin Alexander restaurant (Washington Street), and you'll drive right to the parking lot for the bike trail, and you'll see a huge "LOVE" sign next to it.

It's like a Facebook Post I seen several months ago:

"Why do people my age, seem so much older than me"

I rode bike 14 miles 2 weeks ago. 11 miles Saturday and 10 miles this morning.

Ballcoach, do you have one of those wide "grandma seats" on your bike?
