I noticed yesterday, that the LU tower is now visible "above" DeMoss building as I travel down 460.

From my office window, I can see that they are now working on floor #9 of the tower, and it is clearly 4 stories higher than any of the hill dorms.

I've heard a total of 15 stories and 275 feet tall, which is taller than the 264-foot observation decks of the one-third replica Eiffel Towers at Kings Dominion (Richmond) and Kings Island (Cincinnati).

Safe to say it will be a nice landmark for LU and Lynchburg.

I think we just hit double digits in stories. I'm counting 10 floors from my office window across the lawn.

Sorry, but I'm betting that will be the least used square footage on campus.

We've got more money than we can use and we better let everyone in the region know it.

Yeah. Once it's fully erect I'm not sure how much action it will see

Most don't know that the majority of the tower will be group study rooms. These are so busy in the library, so we needed more of them in the tower.

Good article in the Liberty Journal on the Tower. I was surprised to read that no steel is in it.
