A Sea Of Red

Apparently a very suspicious package has been found on campus right by the entrance to the LaHaye Ice Center. State Police are on the scene and they've shutdown traffic all along that part of campus. At the moment it doesn't appear that LU and LCA are on lockdown, but they did send out emergency alerts.

HVAC equipment...thank God it wasn't something more serious.

Talked to a friend on the local police force. Apparently, the LU security/police force needs to take a page from the LU transit management book and work more closely with their local counterparts. Word is that the LU police chief won't even return phone calls from the new Lynchburg chief (whose daughter happens to be an LU student).
