Since the topic of homosexuality and Christianity was brought up in the Chapel, I'm going to post a link here just in case anyone is interested in hearing from the founder of the Gay Christian Network, Justin Lee:

March 22 at 7 PM in the Memorial Ballroom on Lynchburg College's Campus.

Dr. Caner hosted something similar with Mel White on LU's campus while I was in undergrad.

Justin Lee is a compelling speaker, I've heard him multiple times. He's good at tugging at the heart-strings, and his case is built mainly on personal experience and emotion, and his interpretation of Biblical texts is far from what most theologians would agree with.

Having said that, you can really learn a lot from what he has to say, so if anyone has the chance to go to this, it's always important to hear both sides of an issue. You just have to use good judgement and wisdom to be able to rightly analyze what's being said.

Here's a forum he and Wesley Hill participated in, very beneficial talk.

Is it just coincidence that this event is taking place at Lynchburg College as opposed to LU?

I'm sure if Jerry Jr. wanted to invite Justin to speak, he'd take him up on the offer...
