On the list posted on Facebook, I see Frank Beamer's name listed, but he's not on schedule/dates.

I can't stand the program he coached but this would be amazing if true.

Pat Williams spoke when I was there, 30+ years ago. Was really good. LaPierre would be high on my list to see too.

Interesting. I wonder if they started working on the artwork and he got scratched (for whatever reason) by the time the final list was released?

Even if you oppose him strongly, why not go just to see what he will say?

Your comment reminds me of people who say, "I don't like any candidate, so I just won't vote."

I don't plan to vote for Trump, but I would love to be there.

Trump is by far the best one listed. No one else is even a close 2nd.

I don't understand why people would choose to attend convo. I don't miss that chaos one bit.

I managed to go a whole semester living on campus w/o attending convo. Bookstore employment had its perks 8)

If I was a student today, I'd probably use my skip day for Donnie and Ronnie.

For what, spectacle? It ain't for substance. What exactly are you going to gain from listening to a Trump speech, other than him telling you he's really really great and special.

I have a feeling this Trump appearance is going to be really awkward and uncomfortable, much like the Glenn Beck one, with the Don trying to convince everyone what a great Christian he is.

Postie may be the first alumnae that I can recall that says they only regret going to any convos. They seem like a drag while you are a student but once folks leave they tend to recognize how stupid it was to miss the opportuity to hear these speakers in person once they enter their cubicle lives.

As for Trump, I would actually expect him to make a splash with the occasion. But I agree that it is very possible for him to just do his usual song & dance.

I echo this sentiment. To be honest, I'm tired of seeing Trump headlines all over the place. The worst offenders are people in the "Republican" tent whom seem to have some sort of daily quota to meet in regards to saying, or typing something negative about Trump.

Personally, I think this list is great and I believe it would be a shame for any student to purposely miss out on the opportunity to hear any of these speakers.

Of the ones I know about, I think Erwin McManus, Jentezen Franklin, and Christine Caine are big mistakes. I also have issues with James MacDonald, Ann Voskamp, Donald Miller, and Jesus Culture. But hey, you can't please everyone.

Chan will be good. Mark Dever and Alistair Begg are incredible, should be great. Sammy Rhodes will be fun.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy watching some of the convo services online but I deal with enough of a circus in my day to day life with work so dealing with it by choice to attend a convo service is not my idea of a good time. Especially with politicians.

Does any LU "Insider" know what time doors open to Vines Center on the 18th.

Ballcoach...you just gotta ask...no need for asking for a "guru" or "insider" every time you have a question.

I'm guessing it'll be early due to the expected crowd...so 7 or 8 am

That sounds awful early to me. I need to see your insider credentials.
