Another LU Alum in trouble

Not sure where to put this, so feel free to move it. Luis Mendez, a dorm mate of mine during my freshman and sophomore years, is being held without bond in Bedford for inappropriate actions with a 17 year old student.

This makes me very sad...I remember him from when I went to a church on Timberlake where he led worship

A fair point purple...in the eyes of Virginia law she was a minor so this is being handled accordingly.

Sorry but I have zero sympathy for the guy. No punishment is too harsh, if he is guilty as charged.

I won't go so far as to say "zero sympathy". The guy was absolutely wrong, but I can also understand the imminent temptations which exist and the lines that may seem blurry when today's 16-year-olds appoint themselves to appear much older.

I repeat, he was absolutely 100% wrong.
