Yes I've heard that as well. Should be interesting to find out the details.

That seems a little strange to be happening this close to the beginning of the semester. But I think that it would be for the best if he did resign.

I was thinking that too, but am glad the University is going in this direction regardless.

JM left for something that looks like it better suits his skill set.
RG can always find a job with Rev Moon or Hinn.

I think Johnnie leaving and Dr Godwin resigning within a week or two is total coincidence, Burnet was at a convocation earlier this year, so obviously he was talking to Johnnie. I think the job offer came from that, not being forced to leave for whatever reason.

concur on the johnnie Moore thing. I don't think there is some skeleton in the closet connecting the two...now some of you can think whatever the heck you want, but I don't think they are related events. now for those of you who are glad to see Godwin go...

Its Dutch...its a not nice word. while I think it was a move that was bound to happen, I'm not blowing party horns or likening him to the wicked witch of the west now that it has happened.

People have been referring to him as that or other things (Gargomyle, Dr Death etc) for years. Having him leave is not what started it.

Hopefully they make him turn in all of the blank diplomas he has stuck in a nightstand somewhere.

this guy got in because was close to SR right?

to my knowledge I never met him or even saw him. In my day it was all about Doc, Dr. Guillermin, the DeMoss family, Dr Towns, Vernon Brewer and some other deans who I'm sure are mostly dead now.

JR seems pretty savvy about letting the appropriate amount of time go by after a scandal, then quietly moving people out when they have a place to go all lined up.

everybody happy happy happy

Godwin has been resilient through every bit of drama he's brought on himself and the university - I'm going to have to see this one on the front page of the Liberty Journal to believe it!

So, everyone who doesn't agree with you is a ballsack or as$hole (rough translation)? You're such a good guy, Beej.

I just hate people being happy at someone losing their job. Has he made mistakes? I have no doubt he has, including this recent situation. That said, I'm sad to see him go. I was the same way when Dr Windsor left. Yeah he wasnt in the same position Dr Godwin was in, but still I enjoyed my interactions with him. If you have a problem with him, that is at least a little understandable, but I cannot agree with being happy to see someone lose their job. THAT is what the "klootzakken" was for
