Best of Lynchburg '14 Nominations

We have hit the summer doldrums which is when we typically trot this festure back out to the board. I'll be placing the polls up soon but we love some help from folks in the 'Burg because surprisingly Houston is not in the Greater Lynchburg Metro and as a result m once a year visits aren't much help.
Last year we tightened up the categories significantly. As a reminder:
- Asian
Barbecue
Fast Food Experience
Fine Dining
Frozen Dessert
Hamburgers
Italian
Mexican/Latin American
Pizza
Romantic
Steakhouse
Unless someone suggests adding a new category, we'll run with these. But we remain open for suggestions.
We also know that some of the contenders from this past year have not survived the brutal restaurant life. So if we have restaurants that you know have closed, please list them in this thread. And since zi know that we have had quite a few new places open up, we need to know what places you would nominate as well.
I hope to have the polls up within the next week.
Under-Rated

Oishii is a new Asian choice in Waterlick plaza. Delicia's is a new Latin food place on Timberlake and Leesville. Hill City house is a fine dining place in the old Vinnys building on Timberlake.

Add Andy Chang in Forest to the Asian list. And if you don't vote for it, you're wrong.

Every time I drive by Andy Chang's I have two thoughts.
1. The parking lot is always very empty which can't be a good sign.
2. They are right next to a duck pond and I wonder if ducks go missing from time to time right before preparing a dish...

Duck pond...so is this what replaced China Royale? I always liked China Royale and was sad to see it close.

It's what replaced China Royale. Sichuan cuisine. Not cookie cutter American Chinese food. No buffet. Very reasonable prices. His brother runs Peter Chang's in Charlottesville. I promise you won't be disappointed.

I am ambivalent to the category... but by next year there will be 3-4 more choices.

Which category would Magnolia fit in? I like that place. Lot of weird stuff (like brussel sprouts, with bacon) that I take home after visits.

I'd like to see a best breakfast/brunch category.

I still think we need to make certificates or something to give to the winners, so they can be displayed prominently in their fine establishments. With Medic's Paint skills, we should be able to create something really professional.

It's really good food, just still working through some service issues. Once they figure that out - they should be good.
Not having Buffet will hurt them at lunch...
