So, my finace is coming into town tomorrow and honestly, I'm getting tired of the traditional dinner/movie night. I tried to get tix to go see the Mary Poppins performance on campus, but it's sold out.
Any ideas?

Back when I was at Liberty, one could always go watch the airport lights at night or park under the drive-thru awning at the bank beside Shakers and...

I think there's one more week of salsa dancing at the Dance Theater of Lynchburg for the semester so that's something to consider. Mary Poppins was a good idea (if not for the sold out thing). How is she when it comes to live music?

We've done the salsa dancing before, I like it but I'm terrible at it. Thought about going that route too, but I'm curious as to what everyone else does.

Dinner at Market On Main followed by chocolate fondue at CAO next to it. Nice walk by the river as well. They should have everything cleaned up by then

Ha, October 4th. Also, that's homecoming and we play Richmond (which is where my fiance is from, ironically).
And to answer the ensuing question, I won't be at homecoming this year.

HA! People on FF are interested in my love life! I've finally reached the level of stardom that I always dreamed.
I ended up making burgers and fries for dinner. Not to brag, but I make a pretty solid burger.
After that, we went to CAO per your suggestion and shared a fondue sampler? It had a bunch of stuff on it. Pound cake, berries, bananas, brownies...etc. I'll be honest, dipping the brownie in the fondue was about the most amazing thing my tastebuds have ever experienced.
So, it was a good night. Thanks for the advice everyone!
