Handling Conflicts with LU Student Advocate Office

Hey Everyone,

Quick question. Anyone know of the best way to handle conflicts with the student advocate office? Basically, I was given a bum tip by advising to take a course that has recently been renamed. When I started the course last week I soon realized that it all looked familiar and that I had taken this course before, under a different name.

Advising had told me months ago that this wasn't the same course as the previous one but now, I'm on the hook for 25% of this course and a withdrawl. It seems the advocates office claims that LU didn't do anything wrong.

Just looking for advice from anyone who had navigated the waters of LU conflict resolution. I haven't had trouble up until now and it's quite frustrating, since I'm already on the hook personally for the cost of books, software, etc for the course. Just hoping LU does the right thing.

Appreciate any help.

YR, did you contact the SAO Director, Justin Mercer? http://www.liberty.edu/index.cfm?PID=9580

Thanks. This is actually for an online course so I contacted Jason Byrd. Hoping I hear back from him. So far, the assistant director has been a bit unreasonable.

Jason Byrd goes to my church. I can tell you exactly where he'll be around 10am Sunday mornings, should you choose to make things a bit uncomfortable.

He's a good guy, though, should be helpful.

That would be awkward and, as of a few minutes ago, unnecessary.

Mr. Byrd just emailed me and resolved the issue perfectly.

In other news...my blood pressure has gone down. Keep Calm and Carry On.
