I thought this guy was dead...but apparently he is still making appearances on the minor league sports circuit.

I read an article about him the other day and was surprised as well that heis still kicking. Interesting to note that he was a well respected high school teacher and coach.

Doesn't he go all the way back to Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling?
Better yet, who here is old enough to remember Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling?

I remember watching him in the 70's tearing the turnbuckles apart and "eating" the stuffing out of them. Wrestled with Bob Backlund, Ken Patera, Chief Jay Strongbow, and many more whose names escape me right now. Wrestling was "real" back then, haha.

George "The Animal" Steel or Eric Estrada...my inner childhood has a major conflict right now.

Actually, I think we are heading to see the movie at Thomas Terrace. I've been trying to help out the other movie he just started filming in town called "Uncommon." In a few weeks I think I'm doing an extra scene. Should be fun.

It will actually be at our church, Thomas Terrace, as well. It's like you will almost be a member! Sorry I can't see you on Friday but maybe for the extra's shoot.

My first wrestling exposure was MACW in syndication and Georgia Championship Wrestling on TBS.

For those of you who follow professional wrestling, a friend of mine put a strangle hold on "The Animal" at the recent Hillcats game.
