The Christian Chicken has dominated this category since its inception primarily as a Drive-thru experience. So we have opened it up to the full fast food genre. Is it time for someplace different to rule the roost?

Chick-Fil-A is always solid. I was disappointed by Hardees. Carl's Jr out in California has a few really delicious burgers but the Hardees brand isn't as good. I haven't tried Cookout yet.

I agree, not even close. Of course in Cali you have the always delicious In N Out Burger!

I'm going with Chick Fil A but its REALLY close with Cook Out

Yeah, we love In N Out. It was a common stop whenever we went into town. They live by the rule. Keep it simple stupid. They have like 4 items on their menu (not counting the secret unwritten menu).

We made it a point to eat there a few extra times before our move, just to savor the flavor.

Cookout's food is great, but that location by Liberty is a train wreck. If you're talking about "experience," the service was horrible. No one knew where the line started or ended. The one time I went there, someone messed up my order then tried to convince me I had ordered one type of shake when I'd ordered another. I had to show the doof the receipt to prove it to him. He was ready to argue with me about it.

I think your experience was a bit of an anomaly, Chris. Every time I've been there the service has been friendly and my order correct, other than a couple small mix-ups. I don't like the location much though as far as getting in and out of the lot.

Hardee's is for old people for some reason. Not really sure why they like it so much.

Their logo is a star. Since they are old they are closer to heaven so they want to get used to hanging out with the stars. That's my best guess.

Their breakfast menu is flat out the best around.

Hey, maybe a new category?

We had it but some folks around here wanted to limit the number of categories.

CFA #1
Cookout #2

I agree that Lang's experience is likely an anomaly.

Good to hear it was an anomaly ... will make it more likely I go back. Though to echo flamehunter, that location puts it way down on my list of places to go. Pain to get to. More likely to hit the one in Blacksburg than the one here.

Nah. The one in Blacksburg just seems to flow better ... easier location to get in and out of. You know.

Once again, the Christian Chicken remains dominant in this category!
