Does any company make just an LU alumni license plate, like a pewter plate or a mirror plate? I've been wanting one for a while and can't find one to save my life, I am guessing they don't even exist, wondering if anyone else knows?

Does Virginia allow frames for the front plate? I know you're in NC but if not that might be why they're not available because in Virginia they require the license displayed on both the front and the back. I could be totally wrong though.

And because it's not legal in VA, that's probably why they aren't made, there's not enough demand for them outside the state.

you know that's a good point, I didn't even think about that but it makes sense. I don't know if that frame would work here because we have a law about obstructing the the wording and registration info on our plates. Maybe since I'm special they'll make me one cutsom

Correct. For example my family in WV can do it, but as far as I know VA requires plates on both the front and the back. So that's just my educated guess as to why they aren't available.

I haven't had a front plate on my truck ever. Which is about 9 years. I think you're right that you're supposed to have one but I've been pulled over for other things and nobody's said a word about it.

When I first moved to VA from Florida I was pulled over and given a ticket for not having a front license plate.

You can get a blank license plate. When I went to LU and was still a resident of Pennslyvania, I got a blank license plate and I took it to the mall and had the guy that airbrushea Tshirts make me a Liberty license plate for the front of my car. I had him make it purple to match my funky driving lights. It cost me about $15 total.

I also ordered some perscription sunglasses from zennioptical and had Liberty Flames engraved on the sides.
