Uh, this is embarassing ...

Hopefully this gets resolved quickly. In the meantime, we are your sole online source for Liberty Flames info (other than Chris of course).

I'll bet it is going to your offline cache. The domain has expired.

I still think you're nutz- no matter what thread we're in

still loading for me, and I empty the cache automatically every time I close out

I believe that it has, in fact, expired. I'm going to guess that this is due to the website previously being outsourced, but I'm not sure yet. That really doesn't matter. Right now I'll just work on getting it fixed.

The reason some of you can still see it is because your ISP still has the information cached on their DNS servers. Eventually it will stop working for everyone.

SCORCHO please settle this one- what is SLY seeing that the rest of us are not?

I know what happened now. Unfortunately we're waiting on other folks (outside of LU) to do their job. Until they do, this will remain a problem. I'll keep you guys updated.

The non-technical explanation: Someone lost the map of the tubes.

Apparently our domain expired on September 17th and Network Solutions is asking for a renewal.

Glad to see El Scorcho is onto it.

It's a little more complicated that the domain name expiring, but that's a part of it. Hopefully this will be resolved tomorrow during business hours.

If someone can explain to me how to get a screenshot on a generic work computer I'd be happy to indulge you.

Look above the insert button, next to F12. It's a button that should have "Prt Scr" on top and "SysRq" underneathe it. Press that, open paint, press ctrl v, and bam, you got it.

As I said in the other thread it's going to get worse before it gets better. It will, eventually, stop working for everyone except for people on campus. If it's fixed during business hours tomorrow, it could take up to 48 hours after that to show up for everyone. I'll push the right people as hard as I can, but unfortunately we're at the mercy of a third party right now.

Perhaps I was a bit hasty. I was able to log on and see the picture in the look-alike thread at home. But back at work I'm seeing the same error message as yesterday. Maybe my ISP at home still was using cached material. Oh well.

It was a problem with an outside vendor, actually. I'll have another status update when I get into work tonight.

Ok I've cleaned out my cache and my cookies and I'm still getting that stupid network solutions screen when I go to Flames.com. So is this just an Adelphia problem or is there still an issue with the page?

There is still an issue with the domain name. It looks like the third party wasn't able to resolve this for us during business hours today. I'm going to see what I can stir up tonight.
