Majority of those schools seem to be religious of some type (majority evangelical Christian), so I'm not surprised. Ironically, the only school other than Liberty that I applied to is #1 on the list.

I'll just say that having worked in a college ministry that sent several people to Grove City, the zero tolerance policy for alcohol is not enforced much at all.

I attended 2 of the schools on the list (Biola and Liberty) and my brother attended Grove City for undergrad and Wheaton for his doctorate.

"Liberty doesn't need a nightlife! If you want to have fun you can go play video games in a friend's dorm room. But let's face it, college is for school work. You should probably be studying instead of partying," said one student.
I'd hate to be that person's roommate, and I don't even like to go to parties. Person needs to take some classes in fun it sounds like.

The most interesting comment I found about any of the schools was this, however:
The party scene at Bryn Mawr usually consists of dry parties financed by the Dean's office.
Never heard of a school where the parties were usually financed by the school.

Gardner-Webb, Campbell, and HBU usually sponsors formals, dances, and raves for students. all dry.. i have a a couple of friends who attend Gdubb and Campbell and while it's dry they say it's alot of fun.

I believe Liberty is starting to do the same from what i last heard

Another said, "We are here to get an education and obey the Liberty Way."
I'm sorry, I didn't go to school to party...but I didn't go to obey a rulebook either.

Binge drinking, and it leading to alcoholism, are a drain on our society. I am thrilled we are on the list and wish we were number one. I shouldn't, because it is arrogant, but I look down at the students who fail out of school because they drank too much and didn't go to class. Not many can balance studying hard and partying hard. Most shouldn't even try. I could go on and on about American culture but everyone knows how I feel about that. See the plot for the new movie "Springbreakers" to see an example of the culture disease that is infecting our youth.

"I have observed the physical symptoms of television-looking on children as well as on adults. The mouth grows slack and the lips hang open; the eyes take on a hypnotized or doped look; the nose runs rather more than usual; the backbone turns to water and the fingers slowly and methodically pick the designs out of brocade furniture. Such is the appearance of semiconsciousness that one wonders how much of the ‘message’ of television is getting through to the brain."

- John Steinbeck on Television

I am sure he would say the same for video games. There are so many books to read and so little time to read them. Television and video games are like sugar to the brain - highly addictive and highly toxic.

Not going to class has more to do with kids dropping out of college then binge drinking

What about using an eReader to read. It's sort of like watching TV. And what exactly do you do physically different reading a book as opposed to watching TV?
As for video games they definitely engage the mind. And if you have kinect or wii fit your body as well.

Wii fit is a workout tool?!? Yeah, you can get all "virtually fit" using that thing.

Several PT's use it for their patients. Plus, not everyone is a long distance runner so a good wii work out for 30 minutes is a good way to stay.......fit

All I'm going to say is that the countless hours I spent playing Tetris as a kid made me an expert at packing cars, suitcases, etc...

As for Wii Fit, depends on the exercise being done. I think Kinect's Dance Party gives me more of a workout.

Imagine that. You a little light in the loafers :pbjtime :rofl
But that's still the point. Video games can actually be more physically beneficial than reading a book
And you joke, but I'm totally with you on Tetris and packing things. :D

Sorry smoothie, Haize has already filled the tight end position on his team...though I hear he has a spot open for a wide receiver if you're interested.
