Liberty University will become the first institution in the commonwealth of Virginia to offer a bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language and Interpreting (ASLI), according to the Office of English and Modern Languages assistant professor Nicole Thorn.
The ASLI track will ensure that students meet the rising standards of interpreter certification, according to Thorn.

Mrs. Wilmington was a cultural icon back in the day. I believe she was even referenced on Saturday Night Live.

I was actually. if I wasnt going into sports broadcasting, I probably would have gone into special education and used sign language in the classroom to help communicate with the deaf and hard of hearing children in my class. Didnt quite have the chops to be an interpreter myself
