OK - I am too lazy to fight for a parking spot and get dressed appropriately for convo... so I am going to watch "The Donald" online. What I want to know: Why isn't the "Liberty Channel" on Roku?

I have an Apple TV and really like it… but I bought a ROKU so that I could get other channels. I am hoping rumors of a real apple tv venture come to fruition in the next year.

With the way Apple is suing everyone, it is getting tougher for them to land content partners. Sadly Apple TV may wither away in the same fashion that NetFlix is right before our eyes.
Getting on Roku is a legitimate goal.

I love it just because I buy all my movies on iTunes, and now that they store all your previous purchases, you can have them on all the computers you have and have it stream through iCloud. It's dreamy.

Sly - What does Apple suing hardware companies for ripping them off have to do with Apple signing contracts with content providers? I think the TAY HOSS heat is getting to you… and I don't think Netflix is going anywhere anytime soon.

Show me an instance where Apple was suing anyone for ripping them off. You have to have an original idea to be ripped off. The patent system is a joke that the Apple attorneys have learned to play to their advantage through juror incompetence.
What Apple is doing is playing the legal system to reduce competition. Unfortunately for Apple, many of those they are suing are involved in the content game. And with their reputation of putting the squeeze on the profits of content providers to pas their own wallets, they are creating a sense of resentment in the content community. Netflix did the same thing and you are seeing the implications of their practices by the content losses they are suffering on a nearly daily basis.

Are you serious, Sly? What about those rounded corners?

Now that Liberty Channel to Roku has been mentioned on FlameFans, I fully expect the power of this site to cause it to happen.

I think we should task the Alumni Director with this as a "tool to keep in touch" with Alumni.

I'd be happy to just get it on cable

I imagine I could figure out a way to get it to Roku without a deployment on LU's side. I will look into this tomorrow.
On second thought I just remembered we use silver light... That may cause a problem. Man I hate that thing

I get it. Don't hate the player, hate the game. The game sucks and is hurting us all.
