Do I hate him? No...to hate somebody would require that you would afford some gladness at any ill will occurring in their life, while at the same time offering no happiness at positive events in their life as they occur. Do I dislike the guy? Certainly...but you can dislike somebody and not necessarily hate them.

peak times for on campus student use the internet (like 9pm to midnight, or weekend afternoons) becomes molasses, and streaming video becomes impossible.

If you mean streaming video as in Youtube then yes, that does get throttled (at all times though not just peak hours). I think I remember hearing back some time ago that youtube was making up 80% of the bandwidth used or something like that...that's why something had to be done.

I'm interested in hearing more if its non-youtube related browsing thats causing issues. I'm not on campus outside of work hours so I havent experienced that.

is netflix then also throttled?

I would imagine so. Havent thought about that, I'll ask. Should have an answer in a minute.

Got the answer. Everything is throttled to a certain degree. I would imagine Netflix is a bandwidth hog since I'm sure you're wanting HD even at 720p its still a ton.

is liberty going to post this on the splash/website? find it kind of ridiculous they don't talk about being ranked (usnews and forbes), esp. to prospective students, but are surely to brag about having a top 20 dining service on college prowler

If they could find an angle, you better believe they'd brag about it. Being the 65th best regional university in the south isn't really something to brag about though.

I know its not the best maybe after hearing the academic jokes from haters i just want it to be recognized.

Look at the list of schools ranked below Liberty. You see any you want to brag about outranking? I see where you're comin from. I jus can't see anyone being impressed if they look at the list.

Also, that 24.6% acceptance rate seems like it had to have been doctored somehow. Anyone know if this is actually legit?

yeah that sounded odd to me too, not that we have a ridiculous acceptance rate but it can't be that low...

Sometimes this board can be exhausting. I've seen a lot of complaints over the years but I've never seen anyone complain about Liberty not doing a good enough job bragging on themselves.
