One interesting thing to keep an eye on is the number of young high level executives the university has put in place over the last couple of years. From people I know, in an effort to infuse youth in the upper levels of the university, they have unfortunately enabled a handful or so of rather inexperienced executive types whose immaturity is only rivaled by their sheer arrogance.

Power + arrogance + immaturity is always a bad comination. From my vantage point looking in from the outside, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out over the next 5-10 years and beyond. Hopefully for the sake of the university, Jerry Jr and the adults still in power keep an eye on the "kiddie corp".

So basically, people you know have bosses that are younger than them and they don't like it.

I run into this "age" thing all the time. Most of my colleagues are in their 50s and 60s, when I'm well, not. Let's be honest though, no one, regardless of age, is "given" a job of superiority.

....and they are crushing performance metrics. It seems like an outstanding group to me.

I got hired in a position of authority in my current unit of disability. I'm the youngest in my unit, and I came in from an outside office. I respect age and experience, but come on, they didn't give me this position b/c I'm cute.

1 Timothy 4:12 comes to mind.

these young kids comin in here running wild and doing whatever the hell they want! how dare they!

Seriously though what was the person who started this thread trying to accomplish? I believe in order to be successful you must mix youth with age and experience in order to have a well rounded company/organization always infused with new ideas but with older people who have the years of experience to learn from past mistakes.

Makes perfect sense to me

If you're going to go down this road at least have the balls to name names. I mean people give grief to our different coaches all the time so why not our other leaders.

Also it's summer so we need something to complain about

Search a few of EagleOne's comments on threads and you'll see quickly he isn't much of fan of our founder. Or at the very least is one of those folks who complain about everything.

This theory would hold water except over the last year I've heard from multiple people of various ages, some that work for the university and others that don't but are familiar and/or have had dealings with the individuals mentioned. All of these have consistently mentioned the same theme, arrogant and "power gone to their head". Initially I didn't think much of it, but to hear the same thing from quite a few different people gave it more credibility to me. I will say there's about 4-5 names that have been mentioned with 3 mentioned more often and prominently. As for the list someone posted above, you can definitely scratch JJ and JB off of it. I have routinely heard good things about both and about the jobs they are doing and the type of people they are. Personally I have nothing but respect for both of them.

Is Johnnie Moore really considered an executive? The dean of the School of Business with undergrad at Liberty, MBA at Liberty, and an as of yet unfinished PhD (but seemingly strong executive experience)? I think we have a ways to go if we are expecting world class faculty. Maybe that isn't so important.

look joker, I have a lot more respect for Mr Kennedy than I do for someone like you who decides to go on a message board and act like Im somehow told to say nice things about my boss. I would say the same thing even if I wasnt working for the school. If you or EagleOne has a problem with young bucks getting a chance to show what they can do, we have a chancellor who is willing to post on this humble message board and allow us to share in what the Lord is doing on this mountain. If you have a problem with it, you can do one of two things: Either buy in and praise God for what He has done or get off the train at the next stop.
