I chose "Other" in this category for the reason Haize chose the same in the Italian category. When you've lived in such places as Maryland's eastern shore (try the crab cakes at the Blue Heron Cafe in Chestertown) and Charleston, SC (try the seafood pasta at Fleet Landing and also enjoy the best view in the city) in your life, Lynchburg has nothing to offer in this category.

My parents live 20 minutes away in Greensboro. I've eaten those more times than I can count.I agree with you that there is not a option on here to vote for.

I just wanna see something other than Red Lobster win. I enjoy it there but as someone who lived 30 minutes from the beach most of his life, I know there has to be better seafood available than there

I can't eat seafood but there just seems something dirty about a big chain winning The Best of Lynchburg in any category.

The nearest fresh seafood is coming from either Maryland or from the Virginia Beach area. To have a fresh seafood place here would take quite a bit of capital because of what would likely be required to get fresh seafood here quickly.

I went to Benjamin's in Forest this summer because I had a coupon. They claim that their seafood is so fresh that it was swimming in the ocean yesterday--seriously.

Mrs. Cider got fresh salmon cooked on a cedar plank, and she said it was the best salmon she had ever eaten in her life. With a two-for-one coupon, we made out like a bandit at Benjamin's.

If you have room, Sly, you should add Benjamin's to your list:

No, it's not worth that, but it's kind of cool that the place is called Benjamin's Cows and Crabs.
