Five Guys has captured this category every year since its inception. Can the national chain continue to fend off the local challengers?

Can't vote for any since they all use poor quality beef. The Bison burger at Depot Grill beets them all,
in my opinion.

Despite having lived in Austin and having eaten hundreds of Pok-E-Joes sandwiches at Longhorn sporting events, I have never had one of their burgers. I may give it a shot next time I'm there. But i have always been down with both their sliced & chopped beef sandwiches.

Look at these burger options Pok-E-Joes:
Fiesta Burger
Refried beans, corn chips, onions, salsa, cheese, mayo, and our freshly made pico de gallo make this full-flavored burger a Hill City favorite.
World Famous C&C
Pico de gallo, chili, and corn chips give this burger a Texas-sized flavor.
Pok-E-Western
A Lynchburg tradition. Our Texas Burger topped with a fried egg and yellow relish. We didn't invent it, we just perfected it.
Two for One Burger
Two great flavors together for the first time. Our third pound handcrafted burger topped with our slow cooked brisket and smothered with our Texas 'Q sauce. A beef lover's favorite.
I love the C&C

I had no idea that Pok-E-Joes did burgers. They cater the press box at the Hillcats sometimes and came away fairly impressed by their chopped beef. Really tasty. I may have to hit up these burgers at some point.

And cheaper than 5 guys. I think their burgers are around $3-4 and come with fries at that price.

It is really good but their portions are small!

I agree with this. I always order an extra side of onion rings.

The Two for One burger sounds like a great option to me.
I'd be down with the Pok-E-Western if they'd replace the relish with pickled beet. Don't hate until you've tried a Kiwi-style burger.

That C&C burger at poke-e-joes is killer. It's what I get every time.
That place would be bringing in money hand over fist if it weren't in Boonesboro. Good food and really reasonable prices.
5 guys is obviously the best burger in town though.

Yeah but you can get a hot Italian beef wet and REAL pizza. So I won't be breaking out the violins for you anytime soon!

Actually, Mallet doesn't live in Chicago but the Quad Cities. As someone who has lived in Western Illinois can attest, it is not exactly on the same level gastronomically.
