I figured Id do Sly a favor and get this started again as we get into the summer months starting on Friday. Post new category ideas or new nominees for existing categories and Sly can do his magic with it to get the voting started.

Don't even know where that is? But if you want obscure, between Gretna and Chatham there is a place next to the Apple Market that's awesome. I think it's called Aunt Beas

Ah. Yeah me and a biker bar would be similar to Paul Ruebens doing the chicken dance on table tops!

I know we have some new entries like CookOut & Bloop since last year. Is it possible to let me know what places have bitten the dust & what is new to town?

I nominate Beej for best Chris Lang impersonator.

Sacrilege! CLang cannot be impersonated or imitated. Maybe a Lang wannabe category would be more appropriate.

Hmmm... let's try Chris Lang impostor. Or am I heading in the wrong direction? I mean I've never seen anyone parrot Lang's words and reshape them as his own quite like BJ!

Speaking of imposters, I saw the movie The Imposter on Netflix the other day. It actually wasn't bad except for the herky jerky ending. Kevin actually did a decent job acting and he reminded me how awesome his voice continues to be. Incidentally he dropped 44 lbs this past month at a diet/conditioning camp.
And the circle back to the original premise is complete.

Maybe top "Foe User"? I'm still working on the title, but no one threatens it with quite the voracity as BJ believes it weilds.
"[debatably eccentric and ill-based rant by poster]"
BJ: "I'm going to FOE YOU!"
Poster: Oh @#$%^#%$*^, what was I thinking?! I'm DOOMED!"
BJ: Thats right. RESPECT!
Along with the BJisms thread, we need to start a "BJ Threatens to Foe" Counter. I'd be interested to know his ratio of Foe Posts to All Posts.

Yeah I mean I'm not sure who would ever foe me. oh wait... pretty much everyone... never mind.
I'm just embarassed that I commute to Liberty and have never tried all these places that you guys mention. Maybe it's something I can do this summer to learn more about Lynchburg.

No slight to Bloop, because it is very good, but Yogurt Yetti in West Wards Crossing is mighty fine. Reminds me of my favorite Yoforia, near where I live in NC.
Also, had a chopped BBQ sandwich at Silver Pig's in Madison Heights traveling through yesterday and it was fine. As good or better than the central NC BBQ I've had in Lexington. OK, Sly, don't start on the Texas BBQ...
Double also, I went to Milan for some Indian cuisine a couple of weeks ago and it hadn't yet opened for the evening. So, I took a chance and got a take out from kind of junky-looking Koto in the same shopping strip there and to my surprise it was tasty. So add that one to the Asian list.
Cider Jim and Purple: I stopped by Ranch Road as well. The brisket was still great, but the creamed corn ain't what it was. Didn't the corn used to be roasted? This time it wasn't.
Tried some other places as well recently, but I'll save those for the rankings. I will say that Lil Cucci's is now my favorite Lynchburg-area pizza. Wanted to try Jade Palace. Is it any good?
Man, I've been eating too much lately. Sigh.

Jade Palace's menu is good, but their buffet has a little to be desired.

for those who know, is Machu Picchu (the Peruvian restaurant) still open in Lynchburg? The few times I went there they were always out of Inca Kola. No Peruvian restaurant is complete without having an Inca Kola to wash it down.

That would be Milan, in the strip behind Koto.
