Does anyone know how much it actually costs to audit classes at LU? I already have my undergrad and Master of Arts in Religion from LU...plus I have a M.Div. from another school. I don’t need a doctorate...I was just looking for a cheaper way to learn more. The church I’m serving is not an SBCV church (it’s bgav), so I can’t use that scholarship...about five years ago I brought up them supporting the Liberty Baptist Fellowship, bc one of the perks used to be free online classes, but it didnt go over at the time. I think it might now, but I don’t see where there is a free online classes for LBF pastors anymore...looks like the lbf is now the Liberty Church planting network...it doesnt meantion the free continuing education for pastors perk anymore...so I was looking into auditing...it looks like it’s $75 a credit hour to audit, plus fees...plus you have to register as a special student...so that’s about 225 plus any other fees for one normal 3 credit class...but thats undergraduate...I don’t see anything anywhere about auditing seminary classes...is this even possible? Just wondering.

JFF, it sounds like you have answered your own question, but I've got a brand-new graduate catalog in my office at work, so I can double check on this for you Monday.

Jim, there's a table on page 40 of the graduate catalog, and it lists $75 per hour to audit a class.

I don't know if all the other fees would apply to part-time auditing student or not, but you could email the Student Advocate's office for details: http://www.liberty.edu/index.cfm?PID=9580.

Ask for Don.

The LBF has a waiting list of something like three years. It's kind of like social security-- give us money now and we'll put you on a list and maybe you'll get some money for a scholarship later.
