Lynchburg, VA (PRWEB) December 28, 2011

Liberty University, the world’s largest Christian college, is being noted by Google for its success in marketing the university’s programs to prospective students via their mobile devices.
More and more prospective students are utilizing their mobile devices to explore their options to further, or pursue for the first time, their education online.
As noted by Google in their Mobile Ads Blog, Liberty’s method of online marketing is effectively leveraging this trend, which is, according to Google’s own search data, an increasing one.

LU is on the cutting edge ..... this is the future ...... eventually all brick and mortar Universities, not just the Phoenix's, will be on board ..... I read a post recently on another site (a political forum) by someone in leadership at the University of Maryland and they committed on how Liberty has a jump start on everyone else.

Liberty got the jump on everyone thanks to LUSLLL, way back in the day. The basic structure was already there, all that had to be done was modernize it.

We've also got faculty who are leaders in researching distance learning and educational technology, which helps. LU has a lot of credibility in the field.

Disclaimer: I'm currently nine hours away from my M.Ed in Educational Technology from LU Online, so I may be slightly biased on this subject.

It's good to hear that you are finding the program beneficial, phoenix. It's fairly new, and the folks who put it togetherworked hard to make it relevant. Thanks for the feedback!

I'm finishing my final course in this program right now, and I can say that it's been pretty good with a noticeable jump in quality last Fall. There are still some kinks being worked out, like the final requirements for the e-Portfolio not matching some of the assignments from just a year ago, but those things are all relatively minor now.

Liberty is in the ballpark with UConn, Michigan St, UVA and Vanderbilt as far as Educational/Instructional Technology programs on the graduate level. I'd love to see them step up and provide a doctoral program specializing in the area as well like the 3 year programs that UVA and Vandy currently offer.
