This is a question for the locals (and anyone who used to be who might still remember). Im doing some number crunching for getting an apartment (which naturally I will be sharing once Im married). I am trying to calculate about how much my electric bill would be based on the rate schedule I found but I thought Id ask around as well.

You can actually go on a budget plan. AEP will estimate your usage for a year so that you pay the same amount every month. If you use more you owe it at the end of the year and the monthly amount adjusts. If you use less you get credited and your monthly amount also adjusts.
A lot will depend on how many square feet of love shack you occupy!

This utility rate information should be included in the curriculum for the new "sports" major that was suggested in another thread.

Fair enough...I will say that the budget plan doesnt sound half bad...although since I wont be there for 12 months itll be interesting how they calculate things next year

We have been using the budget plan for a while now. We like it much better than the standard charge by the month for what you use. You can have big fluctuations depending on the time of year and it's hard to budget for those. They will probably calculate your initial amount based on past history at your location from previous residents or for similar apartments or homes in the area.
