New Tunnel Confusion

Just saw this on the Splash Page:
In Monday morning's convocation, the Chancellor announced the completion of Liberty University's pedestrian tunnel. Please note that the opening has been delayed until tomorrow, Tuesday, October 25.
Followed by this in the News & Advance):
The end result will provide a 7-foot walkway with handrails and curbs that will cross under the tracks and empty into the Panera Bread parking lot. Liberty officials hope it is ready for use by early 2012.
Does anyone know which one of these is correct? I assume that the Splash Page meant to say that the new bridge is officially opening today, not the tunnel?

yeah, I think I saw people on the bridge for the first time crossing yesterday. They just started the tunnel like a month ago.

Bridge is open - Tunnel work will finish today, but they still have a lot of work to do before Jerry, Jr will be able to drive through it;)

Wish I'd known the bridge wasn't open when my wife and I walked across it about a month ago.

What does everyone make of the two vehicular tunnels to Wards Rd starting in the Spring that the N&A article mentions? I assume by two tunnels, that just means one road into campus and one road out at the Harvard / Wards stop light? Not one tunnel with entrance and exit roads at Harvard, then another one somewhere else? I do always wonder if there's going to eventually be some kind of tunnel at the Walmart light on Wards by Starbucks, but from what I recall the elevation of campus on the other side of the tracks there wouldn't really be too feasible for a tunnel.
