LYNCHBURG -- Evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins — an outspoken proponent of atheism — presented a fierce challenge to the creationism theories taught at Liberty University when he spoke to a sold-out crowd at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in 2006.

At the time, the British scientist was promoting his book, “The God Delusion,” which uses a scientific lens to argue against the existence of God. Clips from the Randolph talk, recorded by CSPAN, made their way to You- Tube and have since garnered millions of views.

Dawkins will return to Randolph College Wednesday for a lecture on his first children’s book, “The Magic of Reality: How We Know What’s Really True.”

Tickets to the event are sold out, and the waiting list surpasses 200 people, according to Randolph officials. Because of the high interest, the college plans to stream a live video feed of the lecture online.

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't they the ones who started the whole "Rational response squad" thing?

That was almost funny they way they tried to make people commit the unpardonable sin. Not that it was funny, but it was comical because all of us know it's not saying 10 words, it's living a full complete life rejected Christ.

I just hope that this time no one goes in there with their CRST books and ends up looking like an idiot. The YouTube videos from the last time made me completely embarassed to be a part of that student body.

this man has been embarassed at so many debates its hilarious. even by his atheist counterparts he gets destroyed.
