I need a reccomendation for a good place to have a dinner party for about 20 people. My son is getting engaged to his girlfirend (both at LU) and we want to throw them a dinner party. Not being from the area, all I know is what I see on Wards Road when I come in town. Any locals that can help out?

Isabellas and Shoemakers both have nice rooms for parties.

That's the key determining factor in the suggestions we'd offer up to you.

Spring House may be something to consider as well (off 460)

Waterstone Pizza might work as well. I think they have a loft you can rent out.
And, I'll second the Isabella's recommendation. They have a private/party room in the back. Don't worry...it's not the bad kind.

LOVE Spring House, and really easy to find: right on 460 East only about 10 minutes from campus.

I like the Waterstone recommendation. Really nice looking place. Good food and definitely for $15-$20.

As long as she doesn't have access to the interwebs, we should be safe.

Agreed but sounds out of your price range.
In your price range, and in general a solid second to The Shoe, is THE SPRONG HOUSE. It will probably take you about as much time to get there from campus as it does to Shoemakers. Plus it's like 1 minute from my house! I can spy!

Hah, that could so be sarcasm, and he would deserve it. The Spring House must have gotten better, because I went there a few years ago and wasn't all that impressed.

The Spring House is not the place to go for this type of celebration dinner.
Think of it like Bill's in Wilson. Decent place to go for Sunday dinner after church, but not for anything else.

Spring. Sprong. It's all the same. HA
Don't listen to Blwall, he has mental issues that for legal reasons we are not allowed to dicuss!
The SPRING House is a home cooked family stlye restaurant. They also have a nice deck/patio area and the ability to adjust room sizes. Add to that the menu falls right in your price wheel house it is a no brainer.
