We're no longer to use "LU" in mentioning Liberty in any way. I like the change, as I would much rather we be "Liberty" and not "LU."


The question now - What happens to the monogram? Perhaps "LIBERTY" in blue rocks would be good?

i doubt anyone will change the monogram unless money is donated towards that end.

I know it's not intended as smack talk, but I definitely laughed when I first read this

I don't plan on typing out Liberty every single time here. I'm thinking either "Lib" of "JFU." Thoughts?

I believe '09 probably has it nailed but this could be coming internally as well. From a national branding perspective, the move away from LU was long overdue.

Not sure but necessarily so. The logo is just a small part of the branding.

if you saw the checks Lib cut to the Demoss Group you wouldn't think it's a joke

not sayings it's not worth it, just that marketing people always amaze me.

Just remember--most people go into marketing to avoid math classes or classes that require math knowledge.

It makes sense, but it'll still be LU to me. Like the article says you can use it internally or when discussing athletics. Plus my hat says LU! Can't change that.

We're going to have to start enforcing this on the board, I guess. You say the full name or you get banned!

I like the previosly mentioned Lib as an abbreviation. That way we can seriously confuse some folks.
