I just found a new bbq joint on Lakeside that has only been open about 3 weeks. It's in the old Rivermont Dry Cleaners building. Their meats are baby back ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, turkey, chicken, and sausage; their sides are creamed corn, baked beans, cole slaw, mac & cheese, potato salad, and a tomato/cucumber/onion salad.
Sandwiches range in price from $4 to $5.45, plates are $8.45-$9.45. A full rack of ribs is $16.95. You can also buy meat by the pound ($10-$12). They also sell family packs ranging from 2-6 pounds of meat with sides.
The dining appearance if that of a cheap NC bbq joint--concrete floors and picnic tables inside the restaurant. Has anyone else been? It's pretty close to Lynchburg College and the newspaper office.
