Just heard that City View closed....hahahaha

Man, I never got to go there. Although I probably never would have remembered. Did that even last a year? Need more capital when opening a business to weather it out a little.

Dickens I blame you and your kind. I blame you b/c I'm sure you had a hand in this and I blame your kind b/c it was the lawyers the floor under them that caused this.


I never did make it to City View....dont really regret it either...I havent been to that location since the Piedmont Club days....I miss that place though

Over the years I've been to 2 or 3 events at the Piedmont Club, and it definately was a unique place. It's a shame for that location to not be used, but I'm not sure Lynchburg will support the kind of high end restaurant that would fit the bill. It worked great as a private club for a long time, but I guess too many of the geezers died off without getting their kids involved. If it were bigger it would be great as a hall for catered special events, but I don't think it will hold enough to support that.
