Cracker Barrel eked out the 2009 title in what has the most diverse voting of them all. This year we add in a couple of new contenders in the Hash House & Jumbos.

If Jumbo's is the one on 460 east, it is closed, has been for probably 5-6 months after briefly re-appearing as Aunt Bee's.

Isn't that a run down motel?

Hotel and restaurant are different, at least in location.

Actually, it would probably be near the top of the list. Went there for the first time on Sunday. I didn't have their sweet-potato pancakes, but everyone has good things to say about the Market.

I added Colonial & Market on Main. You n ow have the ability to go back and change your votes. So badger74 can now switch from other to Market on Main & jk37 can now do the same for the Colonial.

Sly, could we also add Carol's Place (Forest) and also Country Kitchen (Lakeside)? Both have been around forever. Great breakfasts!

I feel bad for Sly. Nobody replies to his nominations thread and then when he starts the polls everybody whines about his choices.

Thanks for the empathy, guys.

Country Kitchen is already up there, CJ. I am good with adding Carols if something else needs to come down. Based on voting the last year or so, I am not sure what would come down to create a place.

In Cracker barrel's defense, their slow service and the garage sale next door are actually part of its charm. No one should ever set foot in a Cracker Barrel in a hurry. Ever.

Yes.

There is fast food breakfast (Bojangles, Subway, McDonald's, etc...) & then there is quality/leave a tip breakfast (Cracker Barrel).

I know we go through this every year but I just find it mind blowing that you have only been to a Cracker Barrel one time in your 20+ years of life.

I at least expect to get my food within 45 minutes of when I order it. That's plenty of time for any restaurant, unless they have to go out and hunt down the animal right after I order it. I'm pretty sure that isn't Cracker Barrel's MO

The experience of the first visit didn't deserve a second.

WE NEED A DENNY'S! Half the fun of the Radford trip this year was going to Denny's on the way back and getting the LumberJack Slam.

I always tell people that Doc's Diner is the closest thing Lynchburg has to a Denny's.
