As has been said many times on the other board- as alumni- we can put our money where our mouth is and help the programs out here. I met Bob Good last year at homecoming, a nice guy and seems very accessable. Here's his contact info if anyone is interested.

Bob Good
Asst. Athletic Director/Development, Liberty University
Executive Director, Flames Club

I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and join this thing- but probably start at the low end. 6 and 12 yr olds like to eat. Hey- 10k gets you a plaque. Cool!

The Flames Club is critical to the success of Liberty University Athletics and is the channel through which our Alumni and friends partner with our coaches and student-athletes for the advancement of the Athletic program. Your gifts help to underwrite scholarships, operating budgets, and capital improvements for our 18 Division 1 sports; and we simply cannot reach the level of excellence we seek without your support. The Flames Club goal for 2005 is to have over 1000 Flames Club members contributing in excess of $1,000,000 to help subsidize the millions of dollars it costs to operate a Division 1 athletic program. You may designate your tax-deductible gift (see your tax advisor for details) to Administrative Unrestricted (in which case it is used where needed most), General Scholarship Fund, or to the sport of your choice. Thank you for your support of Liberty University Athletics and for your investment in the lives of our student athletes.
forgot to add the link to the donation levels.

it does not matter how much we give, just give back to LU....it is the only way we will grow as an athletic dept.

Also, for those who enjoy coming to the weekly lunches... they are now three times a month and are in the Exec. dinning room of Reber-Thomas. I'm not sure if there is a schedule online but it gets mentionioned on the liberty.edu splash page.

Picked up some info at Williams on Sat and see now that the lowest level for 2006 will be at $50 and not $25 as in 2005, but it will get you a membership card, window decal, e-newsletter, and the opportunity to purchase Flames Club apparel at a discount.
Are we back?
