Chicago on the Jamez not only was unable to knock off defending champion Ledos but it also couldn't keep its doors open. Will Ledos continue to run unchallenged to another victory?

May be the case, but I haven't been to half the places

:BS False claim bigsmooth even if we broke it down to fire-oven pizza i would take rivermont pizza all day. Last time i went to waterstone the pizza was way undercooked and they decided half the pizza didn't need toppings :( I like the setting at waterstone better but for me the food is the overriding factor.

Rivermont Pizza is hippietown, give me Waterstone any day. Their pizzas are basically the same quality with different options.

If you consider raw pizza dough and crisp pizza crust the same, then yeah they're the same

Hippies or no they know how to make a good pizza.

Ledo's sauce is too sweet for me, but if you like sweet sauce I see no reason why it couldn't be the best. And there's certainly no reason to scoff at liking it the best. I really like their buffalo chicken pizza. As for Waterstone vs Rivermont. They're the same thing. I'd put Rivermont over the top because they have a sausage and potato pizza that is awesome and Waterstone doesn't have a pizza ingredient combo that I'm really all that crazy about.

Gotta say Waterstone. Every time I go, I get a different pizza and have enjoyed them all immensely.

A new place opened up on Lakeside this year called JoJo's Pizza. Sly, if there's room, can you add it to our list?

It's right across the street from LC, but I don't know if it's D3 quality of pizza or not.

Anybody been there yet?

It's ok but its just a regular oven baked pizza (think Lil Cucci's) ... It seems to be all about the fired baked pizza so far according to the poll so I doubt it will be a front runner.

I can't add any new options without bumping some of the others (10 option limit on polls). And all of those listed with no votes have had decent support on here the last year or so.

Well, I'm an unabashed RP homer, since I'm friends with the owner and just about everyone who works there ... but as for the RP vs. Waterstone discussion, I wasn't a big fan of Waterstone's crust when I went. Very bland, I thought. They do have great topping combos and their prices are better, so I can see why people like it. Just wish their crust had a little flavor to it. Maybe that's changed though.

I hear it's good from various folks at LC, their prices are a bit ridiculous from what I have been told (one person told me it's $5 or $6 for just one slice!), which is why I've never gone.

I have a steady answer for this one... and I have not been to some of these places like waterstone...

The best pizza in town is La Villa (because it is pretty good, the service is great, and the owner is fun to talk to). Vinny's would have been my choice but the only one more rude than the teeny boppers working there is the owner. There is a brand new Vinny's which is NOT related to the other one. I hope to try it soon.

My "other" vote is for OIP on Old Forest Road (I think)... I haven't been there in a few years, not sure if it's still there.

Rooster Cogburn wrote:Lil' Cuccis is the best BY FAR! Best pizza around! Still can't vote though. I guess I'll have to cave in and change preferences.
I totally agree with Rooster. Of course, I'm biased, since I've known the Cucci family for well over ten years, before they (or we) even moved to the 'burg. When I think pizza, I don't even think of anywhere else. Not saying I haven't had other pizza, 'cause I have, but when I want pizza, Cucci's is my first choice.

I liked Ledo's (the crab pizza was really good). I certainly would not mind trying Rivermont or Waterstone (havent had the chance to go there...maybe this summer or fall) and Vinny's (on Timberlake) was alright (I think we had an FF gathering there once). given the choice Id vote for Ledo's since as I said, I havent been to Waterstone or RP so I cant really say whether I like their pizza or not
