Has anyone been? I've been a few different times and everything I've gotten has been really good.

Isn't there some sort of concern of posting that you've been to one of these places online? Doesn't LPD monitor FlameFans? Not saying there's anything wrong with it.

Mrs. Cider and I tried it after church 2 Sundays ago. Only one other table had people at it. We sat there for 5-10 minutes, never got a menu or a server to help us, so Mrs. Cider walked out. Since she was driving, I had to follow.

What's good there, Super? I read some reviews online, and it sounds like the service I got there is pretty common, which is really too bad.

I've heard two people complain about the service. I've been there three times and have gotten served right away. I've gotten a few different things and everything has been good. Everyone else that I've gone with has gotten different things and they've all liked them as well.

I've been quite a few times, but only at like 1 or 2 in the morning. The service is very bad, but the food is really good.

I haven't eaten there, but looking at the menu, the prices seemed pretty steep for what you're getting.

That guy who served us yesterday is a West Ham fan. +1 in my book.

I've gotten the Wild Bill Burger - 1/2 lb burger with Bacon and Bleu Cheese....... and some cheesesteak - made with CUBES OF STEAK. Legit.

I haven't had a problem with service at all.

I'm a big bleu cheese fan. I would like to eat this burger.

I had breakfast on a weekday a couple weeks ago when I was in town. Found the hash/potatoes very bland and strangely tasteless. Eggs were ok and the country ham was just some thin slices of Bavarian style sandwich ham. Service was fine but I was less than impressed and I wanted to like it. OTOH ate breakfast at Main Market the next morning and it was very good all around. I'd give it the edge for breakfast but it's not open late.

There's nothing like a restaurant thread to bring Badger out of the woodwork. Don't be such a stranger.

I planned my Fall visit so that I can see another LU football game. Looking forward to it. I prefer food over politics--you can debate but nobody gets really ticked off. Even the B10 expansion talk has people really getting nasty--people that back the same B10/11/16 team. Lots of anti East Coast bias.

On my recent trip to Lynchburg I got to drive down to see the "Madhouse" racing in person. Awesome.

Love the Market at Main (or is it Main Market?). Really had good food and I enjoy the atmosphere. Great for a Saturday/Sunday afternoon lunch.

Bump.

This place is wonderful. If I were in Lynchburg for a weekend say, for HOMECOMING, I would eat here every night.

Hypothetically speaking, if you were in town for Homecoming what would you be eating at this place?

Well that depends on how many times I went there.

1- Bleu Cheese Burger (Wild Bill) - 1/2 lb burger - very very very good
2- The Chicken sandwich with roasted peppers and mozzarella
3- The CubeCheesesteak - yes, cubes of steak
4- Something I haven't tried yet. I'm at a point where I can't decide to go with what I love or try something new.

I'm not sure about the other people I went with(SJ, TTL,3rd) but I still think this might be the best average$$$ place in Lynchburg.

Of course, if someone hypothetically said to you "Lets go to Robin Alexander, I'm paying," you should not argue with that.

Afraid it's completely hypothetical, but if I was in the 'burg for homecoming weekend, I'd be there.

Was really good stuff, I enjoyed it a lot. And there were so many things left that I wanted to try, lots of unique items.

BUMP

Drove past the former Hash House today. It's being remodeled to reopen as a Mexican restaurant.

Over/Under they will be closed 6 months after opening....

it doesnt appear they are going to do any remodeling or anything. Are Mexican restaurants a front from money laundering or something? How in the world can there be so many in a small city.

And they'll be leaving the sign up too, they can re-use everything that way. Call it the ReHash House.

See what I just did there?

Seriously, it was a really lousy Mexican restaurant before the Hash House. Sheesh.

There's alot of money laundering that goes on with Mexican restaurants and convenience stores owned by Mexicans.
