so im sure this has been talked about before and the info has been put out but as always imsure i missed it again. SO my questionis, is there any talk of when LU will build more dorms and how many more students liberty will be able to take as resident students as the yrs go on etc.....im only anxious for more students on campus beause the more students that come in is more potential fans to show up to libertys games! :D

***Moving this to Lynchburg Life forum ***

and I believe there is a moratorium on further on-campus housing for now. I could be wrong.

Jerry pretty much answered this yesterday in his post. Things will stay the same until more infrastructure is in place. There are two ways to get infrastructure buy or build. Building isnt as easy as signing a contract with a contractor either really the toughest part around Lynchburg is getting approved b/c of wetlands and other issues.

Gary Case learned this yesterday having his project rejected by the city.

Here is JJ's quote on that:

"I believe the school will continue to grow to 25,000 students on campus in spite of the new obstacles that have arisen since Dad's death."

No time frame, but the goal is still there.

does anyone know what they are building behind the far east campus dorms (the square, dorms 25-30)??

they have been working on something up the hill, i would figure more dorms would not be good up there since the dorms at the foot of the hill already have shoddy foundations and are literally splitting in half

i have a feeling we will grow when the obstacles to expansion are moved by way of the city council elections in may.

A lot of the grading your seeing is for the future and taking advantage of "cheap labor" during these tough economic times....not sure about that in particular but that's the case with a lot of the dirt moving you're seeing.
