So, for 2010, one of the Obama Administration's big goals is to get all student lending under federal control. I guess they'd basically make all third-party student loans illegal, making your only option to get financial aid: the government. (I know, there are scholarships and grants, but that's miniscule compared to what people have to borrow to go to college.)

Now, if this were to actually happen, do you think it will have huge ramifications for private schools like Liberty? The feds already have their foot in the door with the current lending structure, but this would basically take the door off the hinges and give goverment the opportunity for "regulatory requirements" to be placed on a school if they hope to see any sort of money from the loans.

I know Liberty's already run into this problem before, but not on this scale. How bad do you think this could possibly get for private, religious schools?

Isn't that still a federal program? Maybe it's not as big a deal as I think it could be, just wondering if LU should be worried.
