sports and reading knowledge, is it required at the N&A?

So they say two LU players have a triple double in the same game when it's not even close, they can't tell the difference between two basketball players in a picture on the front page, and now this:
They have a story in there about an All-State Team (supposed to be field hockey but they decide to leave that key detail out), but in the little info box they call it volleyball instead of field hockey. The story mentions goals, since when did volleyball have goals? Anyone that knows even the slightest bit about volleyball would know there aren't goals...
No offense to you Lang because I know these examples aren't your fault and you do a good job at what you do, but it's getting pretty pathetic over there with all these glaring errors occurring seemingly regularly - and this doesn't even include all the errors that occur in the non-sports sections of the newspaper that my father is always pointing out to me almost every day.

No, I live like 5 minutes from them so there is a lot of visiting. Think like Everybody Loves Raymond amount of visiting except my parents aren't psychos like the Barone parents are.
Plus the parents don't have a basement - or even a spare room for that matter since they moved shortly after I moved out - so even if I did live with them I wouldn't be able to live in their basement.

Yes I know, but others have said it before in non-joking fashion.

No offense taken. I've pointed out the numerous errors to people who are in a position to do something about it, and it's just as frustrating to me as it is to you. My suggestion is to send an e-mail to the sports editor (Chris Morris) at
cmorris@newsadvance.com. Don't be flip, just point out that the errors are frustrating. The more people he hears it from, the more likely something might get changed.
To be fair to him, we've been extremely thin staffing wise in December, so it's more likely that things will fall through the cracks. Lots of people trying to get all of their vacation time in ...
Merry Christmas everyone.
