Another price-gouging incident

Remember a couple years ago when some as stations jacked up their prices in response to Hurricane Ike? Looks like another somewhat local (more towards my original area of the commonwealth, but still in the Lynchburg MSA) gets hit with a fine, this time its Pamplin Exxon: http://www2.newsadvance.com/lna/news/lo ... int/20702/#

Oh, I always thought they jacked up the price of gas because the demand was going up (everyone wants to gas up before a storm) and the supply was going down (Hurricane Ike was headed right for Gulf Coast refineries).

Thank you government, for setting the record straight.

Thanks for the reminders of Ike. It makes my current job situation seem insignificant in comparison. Ah the memories.

Ha....those suckers got me a few times going to play ball...really isnt much else around
