anyone on here do DLP full time? as noted in the chapel, im hopefully moving from lynchburg to somewhere in december but will need to finish up my biblical studies degree on DLP. My fiancee is also going to be moving home to RI to finish up her degree in psychology while planning the wedding, and so im wondering is it going to be harder to get a good education this way? is it really cheaper like ive heard some people say? etc. etc.

anyone switched from full time on campus to full time DLP?

I went DLP once I entered grad school...if you're disciplined enough to make time and do your work on your own, you'll be fine. As for cheaper, well undergrad and grad were paid for with scholarships, so I couldn't tell you.

man, you got engaged and will be spending a minimum of 1 semester away from each other while finishing up degrees? I wouldn't want to be you.

Hey, I spent a year apart from my fiance after we got engaged. Of course, we had our first kid a month after our first anniversary, but I'm sure that had nothing to do with it.

were already getting married in june no matter what. her sister is getting married a month before us, so she needs to be home to help with both and yadda yadda yadda. its a maximum of one semester apart

I went to LU Online (thanks, scorchy) for Grad. I started right after I graduated in '07, and I'll finish w/ MBA this spring. I really liked it bc I was so tired of undergrad profs regurgitating a textbook to me. "Just shut up and let me do the work!" I would think to myself. The coursework is not hard, just stay on top of deadlines, and you'll be alright. Writing papers is hard for some, but...well, not for me!

My fiance and I spent over a year apart. She stayed at LU to finish while I took my first job 400+ miles away. Then, she went home to help plan the wedding. A little self-control goes a long way...

Online is the way to go. Did it for my MBA. Quite the enjoyable experience.

Online is about the only way I could do it now. There's always the thought in the back of my mind that I'm not learning as much as I should be, or as much as I would in the classroom, but as has been said on here already, if you're disciplined about it, it's a good option.
