GOOD IDEA WAITING UNTIL THE WEEK SCHOOL GETS BACK IN SESSION TO WORK ON THE BRIDGE ON CANDLERS MTN RD. THE LOSS OF THE RIGHT LANE IS REALLY HELPING THINGS.

my thoughts exactly. How much do they hate liberty? I actually heard its because a part of the bridge was crumbling and they are having to now repair a hole in it and check every other bridge, which is why carroll ave. by my house was shut down for an hour yesterday while they checked the train trusses above scaremare

A chunk of concrete fell out of that bridge last week. Don't take it personally, guys.

The VDOT hates Liberty because they waited to do this? Apparently by that logic God hates Liberty too because the chunk of the bridge fell off two weeks before classes started back up. This was in the paper the day after the bridge was shut down.

yes, VDOT planned specifically for a hole to develop in the bridge just before LU students came back just to screw with LU...

I think he was joking about the spite thing. Because he then went on to say a chunk of concrete fell off. Do you see how the 2 of those don't really go together? One is most likely sarcastic.

I was going off past posts from him and the fact that he very well could've been serious. He'll never admit it, but sometimes reputation precedes what people post.

it was the sarcasm. Next time ill put the caps lock on for clarification. I just thought that if someone actually read the post they would understand "hmm, he was clearly being sarcastic". :pressed

Given how VDOT treats motorists in this state, I'd argue that VDOT hates everybody.

I'll agree with you there, especially with the people on the southside of Hampton Roads who need the HRBT. Eeeesh they get screwed with tunnel closings.

That's why I never took the HRBT when I was at home...because its pretty much guaranteed that either there is a closing or an accident that has backed up traffic for miles or something

Hah. They just closed one tunnel at nights to replace lights and wires.

It's going to take TWO YEARS.

Terrorists have nothing on VDOT gaffes and construction in Hampton Roads.
