Ledo's rose to the top of a very crowded heap a year ago. Will Chicago-style overcome them this year?

I would say Rivermont

I still haven't had one from Chicago on the James or Rivermont (I need to change that) but I went with Upper Crust.

If you vote "Other", be sure to let me know so I can count them. Clearly Rivermont is getting some love.
Chicago on the Jamez was excellent when I visited this past year. But I haven't tried most of these others.

I've got to put in a vote for Waterstone. While I live close to it, I have yet to try Rivermont, but judging by what I'm reading, I need to give it a try.

I never understood the love for Upper Crust. Vito's has been my local favorite since Mamma Mia's went out of business several years ago. Lil Cucci's is good too, and the owners are so nice, but they charge too much for a slice IMO.

I voted for Ledo...When I worked at WBRG the guy who came in after me would bring Ledo sometimes and share it with me and I thought it was really good. I have to give good marks to Vinny's as well (We ought to have an FF gathering there or Lil Cucci's during homecoming weekend)

I wish you had included La Villa. I think that Vinny's pizza is better, but the service and owners are great at La Villa. We only get Vinny's to go.

how could you group places like rivermont pizza and waterstone in "other"?? and monte carlo?? a lynchburg establishment!

I've heard good things about Rivermont Pizza. Never heard of Waterstone. Monte Carlo is hands-down the worst pizza I've ever had. It wasn't even 'just okay' -- it was just plain nasty.
I tried a couple of Sheetz slices last night. Good to have a place in town that does slices on the go, but definitely nothing to write home about. It's good if it's late and you're tired and hungry.

The list was based on last year's results and discussion and the fact that no one nominated any others last week when I asked. Obviously Rivermont & Waterstone will be more prominent next year in our 10 choice allotment. We can still manually count their numbers now as well.
Frankly I am a little surprised that Ledo's is getting such love after not being that big of a standout the past few years.

It was new the past couple of years. I still love it, but there are others that I'd like to have more than that at times.

Waterstone is definitely the best. I'd put uppercrust at 2 and ledo at 3. Haven't been to the chicago place but wouldn't mind trying it. I like pretty much all pizza, so this is an interesting one for me
