Good job LU on repaving all the major roads on campus--looks better and now is enjoyable to drive through too. Could use a few directional signs.

This place is really good and cheap if you don't mind the drive. I spent just over $10 on my meal and a few egg rolls.

Thai '99 is okay, but only because it's all Lynchburg has to offer. I can make their stuff at home with meat, rice and some cayenne pepper. Thai Siam has more authentic dishes and a cooler experience. It's like a real Thai woman has invited you into her house for dinner. I need to go back there soon.

Oh, and enjoy it while it lasts. Tessie has said she's planning to retire back to Thailand in the not-too-distant future.

Eating in someone's house who doesn't seem to speak much English is definitely more authentic. Does the lady in Colleen carry Singha or Chang? Last time I was there, she didn't; I consider the beverage options as part of the authenticity of an establishment.

For what it's worth- my wife makes better Pad Thai then either- using Trader Joe's Pad Thai noodles!
