LYNCHBURG -- A Liberty University student is behind bars after being arrested in a sting to catch Internet sexual predators.
State Police arrested 22-year-old Jamison Dean Gibbs of Acworth, Ga., yesterday at the conservative Christian school founded by the late Rev. Jerry Falwell. Gibbs was charged with attempting to take indecent liberties with a child and using an electronic device to solicit a juvenile.
Stafford County Sheriff's spokesman Bill Kennedy said Detective Darryl Wells pretended to be a 13-year-old girl from Fredericksburg during online conversations with Gibbs that began in October. Kennedy said Gibbs tried several times to set up meetings with the girl.
Gibbs was jailed under no bond and his transfer to Stafford County is pending. -- The Associated Press
Someone sent me this email and I wanted to know if you guys in Lynchburg had heard anything about this? What is going on over there??

Maybe he was undergoing a secret operation to warn 13 year-olds about the dangers of online predators.

If we're lynching posts with emoticons, we certainly need a "like" button here.

I love how the news tries to make the main point of the article focus on the fact that it was an LU student... "at late Falwell's university." Stuff like this happens all day, every day yet no spotlight is shined on it. But uh oh, when it's a Liberty student (web student at that) they act like it's more of a crime.

Yeah, I have some pretty good ideas of how to counter it, but I'm pretty sure Ed won't like it. However, it illustrates my point of the other side playing to win. If we want to save the country, we'd better be willing to do whats necessary to counter them.
And speaking of Miss California, i'll be happy to preview said alleged photos to keep you guys up to date on the latest developments. I'm a pretty generous guy like that

Agreed, but we'd better start, or we're going to find ourselves in jail (or worse) for daring to dissent. IMO it's kind of like the teachers telling you not to fight back against the school yard bully, when what the bully really needs is a good beating to let him know that he'd better look elsewhere for an easy target.

That's it? If you were going to stew on this all night you might have at least come up with something besides gibberish acronyms.
BTW, --- see how stupid that looks? --- what does "BYOTM" mean anyway?
Bring Your Own Time Machine? --- Bring Your Own Taser, Mister? --- Bite You On The Mouth? --- Baby, You Oughtn't Tease Me?

And, yet, you came back to it 18 hours after you responded the first time and --- I might add --- in much crankier fashion.
