Lynchburg, VA - Police have arrested a former Liberty University (web) professor on sex related charges. The Liberty University Police Chief says Joshua Young Moon is charged with object sexual penetration by force. We’re told the alleged incident happened with a student. Police won't tell us when but say they received a complaint earlier this week.

Hm, one of my favorite professors at Liberty. I did so well in his class too! Perhaps he was so friendly because he wanted to use his object against me.

I wonder what he'll do about his summer mission trip AND that church he's the pastor of. Gotta love the drama

That is crazy. He was a great prof. He had an accent that mede him end his prayers "in jejus name". Prayed before every class... Played soccer with the LU korean community.

I was really surprised when I first heard about this because from what I could tell Prof Moon was a very nice teacher respected by a lot of students. This seems pretty out of character

OK, here is where we list the names of all the LU profs we would NOT be surprised to hear had done something like this!
Of course it seems out of charactor for someone in that position; Christian university or not. It just proves things aren't always what they appear, and we need to place our trust in God, not in men.
While they may not have broken any laws, people in much higher positions with the school have had their own "failings" Thank God for forgiveness and redemption.

I had prof Moon too. I have a feeling there is more to this story. I hope this is some kind of slander and is not true. It seems realy far fetched.

How come he was fired and not put on some kind of unpaid leave until he's found guilty? My wife saw this story and the first thing she said was, "that girl is probably lying". What if she is? I mean would Moon think that there's any chance he could get away with this? It's not like he picked up some random girl downtown that wouldn't know him.

Do we know it was a girl?

The few things which would appear to provide sufficient "motivation" for someone to make a false accusation this serious would all probably involve something inappropriate had occurred, although not necessarily illegal or perverted.

Just because you don't want something to be true doesn't mean it isn't true, unfortunately.

The student was taking a test in Moon’s office, Wetzel said. Because she suffered headaches and backaches, he offered to give her a massage after the test.
She lay down on the floor, and Moon began the massage, Wetzel said. The student fell asleep. When she awoke, Moon was touching her genitals, Wetzel said.
Wetzel said prosecutors’ evidence shows Moon had previously given the student massages at her home on campus.
Are you kidding me? It is completely inappropriate for any college employee (unless one of the duties of the employee is performing massages), much less a professor, to be giving a massage to a student in the first place, especially in teh students residence!
