Did anybody else see these rainbows this evening around 7:30 or so? There were 2 of them and the brighter one pictured here was the brightest rainbow I've ever seen in my life and it was the full arch. I'm not normally impressed by this type of thing but this crappy picture from my phone doesn't do it justice. I was mad I didn't have my real camera.

I saw one of them when I was taking some trash out and grabbed my son so he could see it. Being two he didn't fully appreciate the full-arch rainbow and has been asking where it went ever since. I could keep tacking on other random information, but I won't.

its true. I was at the very end of the wset clip on 11pm news that night for about 2 seconds.
it's pretty cool. it has 2 good jumps on it that snowboarders should like, and I think they may be adding some other stuff but i'm not sure

Is it open to the public yet? How much does it cost...I have my own boots and skis.

Not open to the public yet, Jim, but it will be later this summer.
Every time I think of JDUB going down the slopes on a tarp, I remember the old days when LU students used to slide down snow covered hills on campus with matresses and even cafeteria trays.

They are trying to get it done before school starts back. The rain keeps delaying the progress

that's probably why they're delaying the start of school next semester.

^mattresses. crap! why didn't i think of that when it snowed last semester. oh well, our garbage and laundry tub lids worked just fine, i think.
although we'd probobly get in trouble for using mattresses now that i think about it.

This must be the rainiest year ever, because I think it was originally slated to open in January.

Really it seems like rain delayed a lot of projects. I think the bookstore was delayed because of rain too

Don't forget that although it didn't snow, it is nearly impossible to cut into 30 degree rock.
