There aren't really any more details to it. The site has a bandwidth cap. Too many visitors (thanks, Seth) = too much data transferred = FlameFans offline.

All better now.

I just kept clicking on my flamefans shortcut every 5 minutes or so. I felt like Jeff Daniels in Pleasantville where Bud doesn't show up so he just keeps wiping the counter until the paint comes off because he doesn't know what else to do. Exactly like that.

I'll be in Durham this weekend. Looks like Coach K will be as well. If I bump into him I'll give it a shot.

Technically I stole some extra from the other folks who share server rental space with FlameFans. Thankfully I happen to know all of these people and that they won't care...so long as their sites don't go down. *fingers crossed until the 1st*

i guess i have some more questions.

Have we ever come close to using all our bandwidth in a month before?

Actually the rest of the questions are mute if the answer to that one is no

and, what happens when seth announces where hes going and everyone floods here and we use all the borrowed bandwidth.

maybe its because of times like now when theres quite a bit of members on, but almost twice the amount of guests on as well

Yes. We've hit our bandwidth limit a few times before.

I have hopefully borrowed enough to get us through the 1st, regardless. I wouldn't worry about it too much, though. Generally speaking, FlameFans finds a way to stay online.
